Get ready for a cinematic Christmas feast! The 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is officially slated to run from December 25, 2025, through sometime in January 2026, promising a dazzling showcase of Filipino talent and storytelling.
As is tradition, the MMFF will transform Philippine theaters into havens for local cinema, temporarily suspending the screening of foreign films (with the exception of movies in IMAX, 4DX, and ScreenX formats). This annual cinematic celebration not only provides a platform for Filipino filmmakers but also fosters a sense of national pride and appreciation for local artistry.
Moviegoers can anticipate a diverse selection of films, ranging from heartwarming family dramas to pulse-pounding action flicks, and thought-provoking independent features. The MMFF has always been a launchpad for both established and emerging filmmakers, and the 2025 edition is expected to continue this tradition.
