The United Nations Celebration is part of the academic and cultural enrichment of our students. It provides them with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, talents, and appreciation of different nations’ customs and traditions. This pageant highlights beauty, talent, intelligence, and cultural understanding without involving unnecessary expenses. The emphasis is on academic performance, creativity, and meaningful representation of assigned countries.
1.OBJECTIVES:
- The CNHS AP/ESP department to celebrate cultural diversity and unity among nations and promote awareness of global issues, peace, and cooperation.
- To showcase the talents, intelligence, and leadership skills of the candidates, these activities will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, Friday.
2.SELECTIONS OF CANDIDATES
2.1 Candidates will be selected from Junior High School (Grades 7-10), Senior High School (Grades 11-12), and all advisers are expected to participate.
2.2 Each grade level will be assigned a continent, The countries they will represent will be drawn by lot, and they will prepare for the pageant as male-female pairs.
- Grade 7: Europe (11 sections)
- Grade 8: Africa (11 sections)
- Grade 9: Australia (8 sections)
- Grade 10: Asia (8 sections)
- Grade 11: South America (9 sections)
- Grade 12: North America (9 sections)
2.3 Each of the 56 sections will be represented by one male and one female candidate, bringing the total number of participants to an impressive 112 students.
3. ATTIRE AND COSTUME
3.1 The attire must reflect the traditional national costume of the chosen country, creatively designed and properly represented by both male and female candidates.
3.2 Students, parents, and teachers are free to hire makeup artists if needed. However, the committee encourages simple, creative, and affordable presentations to avoid unnecessary expenses. The goal is to highlight the students’ skills and cultural representation, not material extravagance.
3.3 The representatives will carry the responsibility of showcasing their country’s heritage, values, and culture through attire, introduction, and performance.
4.STAGE FLOW
4.1. Audience Arrangement: Parents will be seated in front of the stage. Candidates will line up by grade level on the sides of the stage, accompanied by their classmates holding flaglets or banner representing their candidate’s country.
4.2. First Exposure: Group Dance Presentation (Production)- All candidates will perform a group dance, starting with Grade 7, followed by Grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
4.3. Second Exposure: Parade of Flags – To Ramp the candidate will introduce themselves by stating their name, grade, section, assigned country, and a meaningful quotation.Classmates will accompany them, positioned behind the candidates, (at the back of candidates) waving flags and delivering short, spirited cheers.
4.4. Third Exposure: Ramp on the stage -As they grace the stage in their exquisite attire, the beauty and detail of their national costumes will be on full display.
4.5. TOP 12 SELECTIONS – The selection process will identify the highest-achieving male and female candidates, ultimately forming the Top 12. The selection of the Top 12 will be conducted on a continental basis. We will choose two outstanding individuals, one male and one female, from each continent – Asia, Africa, Australia, North America, South America, and Europe – based on their talent, beauty, and exceptional costume. These finalists will be revealed in a random order, adding an element of surprise to the announcement.
4.6. ELIMINATION FOR TOP 10 (Ramp on stage) – A new set of criteria will guide the Top 10 elimination: 60% will assess the beauty and creative execution of their national costume, reflecting their chosen country, and 40% will evaluate their stage presence and charisma. The Top 10 female candidates will lead the final ramp, followed by the Top 10 male candidates, each presenting their proud attire. The judges will then focus on facial beauty and the overall visual impact of their costume to determine the finalists. To make it clear, each candidate will be presented one at a time, ensuring a focused comparison and highlighting the individual impact of each contestant.
4.7. TOP 5 SELECTIONS – The quest for the Top 5 begins anew! Each remaining candidate will face a challenging picture analysis, with only 3 minutes to articulate their insights. Scores reset to zero, placing equal emphasis on visual and intellectual prowess.
4.8. QUESTION AND ANSWERS– For the Top 5 round, each male and female candidate will be presented with the same picture analysis question and will be required to write their answers on stage. A three-minute preparation period will be allotted for them to craft thoughtful and insightful responses while answering instantaneously, the Top 5 candidates will be seated comfortably, allowing space for focused reflection as they compose their answers. Once the allotted time has elapsed, all answer sheets will be collected.
5.Criteria for Judging
5.1 For Top 10 Selection:
- Creativity of Costume – 40%
- Stage Presence and Poise – 30%
- Introduction (Clarity & Confidence) – 30%
Creativity of Costume 40 % – The heart of costume creativity is in the exquisite details. Even without a person inside, its artistry speaks volumes, justifying its role as a nation’s representative. The beauty of arts and skill are showcased through captivating materials, each chosen to enhance the costume’s artistic impact and cultural significance of a county.
Stage Presence and Poise 30% – True performance transcends mere skill; it’s about inhabiting the moment with every fiber of your being. It’s commanding attention not through force, but through an undeniable presence. It’s the unwavering belief in your craft radiating outwards, igniting the stage with infectious enthusiasm. It’s the magnetic allure of authenticity, drawing the audience into a shared experience where your unique spirit illuminates every corner.
Introduction (Clarity & Confidence) 30% -For the introduction, aim for a delivery that is both commanding and accessible. Begin with your name, age, grade level, and section. Then, transition into a passionate declaration of your country, ensuring that your words resonate with conviction and clarity, captivating both the heart and mind.
5.2 For Elimination of Top 10

This pageant celebrates the unique combination of physical and inner beauty, stage presence, and charisma that makes each contestant extraordinary. Empowered they embody the spirit of their nation, captivating audiences and judges alike. Discover the unique qualities that make each contestant a true ambassador of beauty, inside and out.
Creative execution of their national costume 60% – Each contestant will showcase their creative interpretation of their country’s costume, bringing to life the beauty and significance of its traditions. It’s about how they value and honor their nation’s customs, and how they translate that passion into a captivating and unforgettable stage presence.

- Intelligence (Substance of Answer) – 60%
Beauty and Costume Presentation – 40% Captivating fusion of beauty and costume. We seek contestants who possess the beauty being referred a beauty that is appropriate to the country being represented, a physical beauty that is distinct, how through your beauty on stage, you bring to life the costume you are wearing that represents a country, using their national costume to tell a powerful story. It’s not just about the aesthetics; it’s about how they bring the costume to life, connecting with the audience and conveying the essence of their nation. Through their beauty and presentation, they become a voice, sharing the heart and soul of their country with the world.
Intelligence (Substance of Answer) – 60% Intelligence is the capacity to provide direct, justifiable, and confident answers. It reflects the ability to understand, reason, and articulate information clearly and convincingly.
